Also, if it doesn't work on XP I can't help with that because I don't have access to XP, and I'm not going to.Give a programmer the correct code and he can do his work for a day. Moderators Melba23 Posted November 16, 2010 Moderators Posted November 16, 2010 Vision, Here is one way: #include <Array.au3> $sIn = "124-105-90-78" $aSplit = StringSplit($sIN, "-") $sOut = "" For $i = 1 To $aSplit[0] $sOut &= StringMid($aSplit[$i], 1, StringLen($aSplit[$i]) - 1) & "." & StringMid($aSplit[$i], StringLen($aSplit[$i]), 1) If $i < $aSplit[0] Then $sOut &= "-" Next ConsoleWrite($sOut & @CRLF) No doubt someone will be along with a sexy SRE solution in a minute. James Posted November 16, 2010 Posted November 16, 2010 It's only a half hearted regular expression (being at work I don't have time to write the rest), but here it is:$strRegx = "([0-9]\d{0,3})" $sIn = "124-105-90-78" $sOut = "" $aRegex = StringRegExp($sIn, $strRegx, 3) For $i = 0 To UBound($aRegex) - 1 $sOut &= StringMid($aRegex[$i], 1, StringLen($aRegex[$i]) - 1) & "." & StringMid($aRegex[$i], StringLen($aRegex[$i]), 1) If $i < UBound($aRegex) -1 Then $sOut &= "-" Next ConsoleWrite($sOut & @CRLF)Same methods as Melba but getting rid of that icky StringSplit James Blog - Seriously epic web hosting - Twitter - GitHub - Cachet HQ
