hi guys i am new at autoit, but i can't find how to add exe file in the script... I am create script and whan i compile my file is only 295kb but program is 19mb...

program is VLC 1.1.5 when i start script from the autoit everything is fine and install work perfectly, but only in the autoit working, i have write "RUN" and the vlc is in the same folder and then is perfectly, but what i need to type to get vlc inluced in the script whan i compile, exe compile file just run and run, in the task manager i have cca 15 VLC apps runing, but

how i can inlcude vlc in the script, what options file install, installer?

i didn't find example of file install...what i need to write for this my script, i try to download other au3 complete script to find fileinstall but nothing

I don't believe that for one second! In the Help File there is an Example about FileInstall()

just few more questions

when i whont to uncheck boxes or check, i use the option "SEND" and everything work but does it have some other ways to uncheck and check boxes.

next question is how to get focus on installer, if i start installer and click on some folder or anything else, the installer whont continue install, when i click back to the installer then working...i try use the /S (silent) but then nothing install

WinActivate() should help you. Also instead of Send() I would recommend ControlSend() because you can be a little more specific.

again :) i need help, i trying to use the controlsend and i don't know how to press enter or use !n or !N for next, does i need to type in string i try it but it whont works

Also instead of Send() I would recommend ControlSend() because you can be a little more specific

Before i use the options Send ("!n")

ControlSend() (correct me if I am wrong) for sending a String. As Zedna stated ControlClick() should be used as it's the same as Send() but a little more precise.

another question how to get focus on button, example

run xbmc installer, and first screen is with next and cancel button, how to get focus only on next, can i do that? becuse maybe i type tab and go to cancel

i use the option controlfocus but focusing on cancel i see that option jump from next to to cancel but just select

when i use this set up, then get selected on cancel
