Instance Question

I found the command to see if another instance of the program is running.

But is there a way to have it close the initial program and take its place?

What I want to do is be able to change that parameters of my program without having two instances.

It is a simple program that only presents as a tray icon.

It is possible, but I don't understand what would be the real benefit? What parameters would you like to change? Normally if I want to send command(s) to another instance I use _Singleton() and WM_COPYDATA (check my signature) OR the other way is record the PID of the first instance in an INI File, then if a second instance is started ProcessClose() the PID from the INI and continue from there.

I think I am pretty close now.

What I can't seem to find is a Function or Macro for the Current PID.

I seems there must be one, but for the life of me I can't find it.

Why can I never figure these out without something tripping me up?

This what I came up with:

It returns success but process is not terminated.

What blatantly obvious thing am I missing this time?

Looks like the process is being killed but the icon isn't being removed from the tray.

It does vanish if you mouse over it.

I tried TraySetState but that didn't work.

So close.
