Global, #including files, warnings

Hello,

I've been scripting with AutoIt for a while and I'm pretty happy with it's ability. There are some quirks, though, that I haven't figured out and I wanted to see if you guys could help.

I'm trying to understand how to properly declare "Global" variables. For example, I have a Main.au3, which includes a SecondScreen.au3. Inside of SecondScreen.au3 I would have something like this:

Func LoadFromINI()
    Global $g_WindowTitle = String(INIFileGetKeyValue("WindowSection", "WindowTitle", "Config.INI"))
EndFunc

Func ActivateScreen()
    WinActivate($g_WindowTitle)
EndFunc

or like this:

Global $g_WindowTitle = "Second Screen"

Func ActivateScreen()
    WinActivate($g_WindowTitle)
EndFunc

When I do that I get something like this:

C:\AutoScripts\SecondScreen.au3(62,20) : WARNING: $g_WindowTitle : possibly used before declaration.

How do I define a variable where all of the functions can be sure it's already defined? Is it possible, or do I just have to live with and ignore the warnings?

That error doesn't show with your second Example. As a rule of thumb if you do decide to use Global Variables always declare at the top of the Script. Although I am guilty of not doing this sometimes, good example is _DisplayPassword() (signature.)

Thanks for the help. For now, I did what you suggested. I moved the Globals to the top and just set them inside the function. So now it looks like this:

Global g_ScreenWindowTitle = ""

Func SetupWindow()
    g_ScreenWindowTitle = LoadFromIni()
EndFunc

That takes care of all the warnings. I was having some other problem for which I cannot remember the exact repro. I'm sure I'll run in to it again and when I do I'll post a good sample to see if you could help me with that.
