Can I disable UAC in Windows 7 using Autoit

I would like to be able to run an autoit script that would disable UAC. I don't know if this is simply a registry change or more.

Any help would be appreciated.

It is a very helpful post.

What I am trying to do is disable uac on a computer not in order to run a script but to leave it that way.

"HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System", "EnableLUA"

"HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System", "ConsentPromptBehaviorAdmin"

are these the only 2 registry settings needed to be set.

Having not touched on UAC I can't tell you much, but from simply searching I believe HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System, EnableLUA to 0 (DWORD) will disable UAC. But you have to Restart of course

Note: I'm not the original author, I must've found it on the forum and thought it would come in handy one day. Plus this doesn't use EnableLUA it uses ConsentPromptBehaviorAdmin, so test to see if it works.

This is my code.

Confirmed working with Vista & 7 x86 and x64.

I use this by buttons, I don't know how you intend on it, but this is the code.

Disable

Hmmm... I'm pretty sure you can't write to HKLM with UAC enabled. Jeez, you can't even change the time with UAC enabled.
