Many projects use an odd/even numbering scheme for the minor version numbers. So 3.3.6.x are Production versions, and 3.3.7.0 was the first Beta after that. The Betas will continue as 3.3.7.x and the next Production will be 3.3.8.0.

Again after that, the next beta would be 3.3.9.0 thru 3.3.9.x etc., unless the Devs decide to make a bigger jump to 3.4.x.x, which they might if there were lots of really major changes in it.

You could check the beta thread, but at 569 posts and counting, wouldn't it be easier to just download AutoIt and read the helpfile and read it in a structured, easy-to-read format? Edited by AdmiralManHairAlkex

Also, I need to avoid overwriting the Koda I have now, because it is am unreleased beta. On the other hand, it would be helpful to know whether what looks like bugs ae bugs, and whether the next real release will fix them.

So can I access the beta's help file without clobbering 3.3.6.1?

Am I making any sense?

The script-breaking changes are few, so even if the installer changed anything (which I don't remember it doing) it would be a easy fix, but if you want to be really really sure why don't you download the SFX instead? Are you on a 56K modem? :) Edited by AdmiralManHairAlkex

autoit-v3.3.7.14-sfx.exe

This installer writes just to "C:\Program Files\AutoIt3\Beta" , Koda is in "C:\Program Files\AutoIt3\SciTE\Koda" so it stays untouched by beta install.

I see that downloading and extracting autoit-v3.3.7.14-sfx.exe won't disturb anything, and will get me the info I need.
