Fran Posted August 15, 2011 Share Posted August 15, 2011 My exe does not want to run on one of my user's machines. I have tested it on Windows 7 64-bit, but not 32-bit (she runs 32-bit). Can someone please help me figure this out. LurchMan Posted August 15, 2011 Share Posted August 15, 2011 I would check and make sure the user has UAC turned off and permissions to create directories on the root of the c:\ drive. Dating a girl is just like writing software. Everything's going to work just fine in the testing lab (dating), but as soon as you have contract with a customer (marriage), then your program (life) is going to be facing new situations you never expected. You'll be forced to patch the code (admit you're wrong) and then the code (wife) will just end up all bloated and unmaintainable in the end. When it does run and the setup is cancelled, all the files are deleted (if it's in the tempdir), but if it's in any other directory it stays there.. stupid, I know, but I can't do anything about that. I work on Vista 32-bit and it works fine on my machine and on XP machines.I think it might just be something on this specific machine, but for the life of me I cannot figure out why.Last night when I spoke to the lady she said that she's also struggling to install other programs on her machine now.
