Kendall
You use the word "dependency" a lot, even when it's not dependency at all.I'm going to say this to you; developer to developer, man to man. You over complicated things. Next time, start simple - ignoring @ScriptDir is a common issue, if your image doesn't show, it's usually that you've got the location wrong, not that it's "dependency" on the HAL because you have 164 operating systems running on one computer - or whatever stuff you said.I didnt say i had that many os's on one computer. i said i have tried it in all. I am Blessed to have all of the OS's Thanks to MS and the work i have done for them.As far as the word Dependency....... There is a dependency there that allows the script to work when using Example: $Pic1 = GUICtrlCreatePic("Background.jpg", 0, 0, 800, 600) When it is loaded in Explorer.exe. Im sure it is something to do with the file system. To define the word since there is some communication loss: To rely on something other than itself to function. So the Question is why doesnt it work without @script ????????OrWhat does @script do that it needs.Answer= Whatever @script does is the Dependency that was missing. And to throw your for a bit of a loop....... Why didnt my errors work when the image was not loading/ Image couldnt be found as you state Above???????Edit: Forgot to add that Windows XP sp1 does not have the above issue. Do you set the working directory in anyway? TheSaint
Sounds like a Windows issue to me. A difference in system calls between OS versions. Apparently, if @ScriptDir is not implicit, then some default to that as a choice, while others don't? That would appear to be the possible cause anyway. Not that I've tested this. Perhaps it needs to be an implicit default in GUICtrlCreatePic if no path is provided? Make sure brain is in gear before opening mouth! Remember, what is not said, can be just as important as what is said. Spoiler What is the Secret Key? Life is like a Donut If I put effort into communication, I expect you to read properly & fully, or just not comment. Ignoring those who try to divert conversation with irrelevancies. If I'm intent on insulting you or being rude, I will be obvious, not ambiguous about it. I'm only big and bad, to those who have an over-active imagination. I may have the Artistic Liesense to disagree with you.
