If statment based on Array Data

5 posts in this topic

So yesterday i was able to get a really script script written( with a lot of help from all of you), but there is one element that I just cant find a way around. I have a new idea but I dont know if I can make it work.

Is it possible to base an "If/Then" statement where the variable is in my array?

something like

if $aArray1[$c][1] = "Rotable" then
<statement>
else
<statement>

No, I'm not a programer.Yes, I am a noob.You know what the difference is between you and me?I make this look good.

Add an Endif and you are set.

If $aArray1[$c][1] = "Rotable" Then
    <statement>
Else
    <statement>
EndIf

I found a good practice is to check if the array is actually array first. Sometimes things happen and your array is not created, the script will then crash.

If IsArray($aArray1) Then
 If $aArray1[$c][1] = "Rotable" Then
  <statement>
 Else
  <statement>
 EndIf
EndIf

I actually have autoit construct the array based on a speadsheet of the data i need to input. So i know the array is there and the information is good prior to the script starting.
