Hi, just wondering i have made a dialog with a few buttons and have one set up to look for a file. When the dialog opens to let the user look for a file i then set the data to the input area. What im struggling with is how to shorten the input file to just the file prefix and suffix, without the directory it is in.

Copy the function into your script and then replace with this GUICtrlSetData ($AppExe, _GetFileName($SelectAppLocation)). Also do some error checking with FileOpenDialog. Pretty simple really!
