Problem in convert .au3 source file to .exe

10 posts in this topic

I used given Au2exe utility given in autoit by default , i select source of my source file and when i put just a file name with no extension , bingo it compiles successfully , then i am able to change extension & change extenstion to .a3x and it runs but when i change it to .exe it doesn't run , instead gives error -cannot find file and the exe file is deleted !

Secondly when i tickmark 'console' , it just wont compile successfully ! It doesn't takes x64 also .

Can someone convert 2 files into exe for me ? I will pm you source code or a3x file whatever needed.

Or even better if someone could tell online converting site , i couldn't find one :/

I right clicked my au3 source file and clicked 'compile script' but it gives error saying 'Unable to execute upx.exe to compress stub file:

upx:URL of my exe file:FileNotFoundException:URL of exe:No such file or directory exists'

How can i corrct it ? Or can somebody compile and give me back exe ?

(& why is it so that i am allowed only 4 posts till 17th dec-> my last post , i am no spammer admins o.O)

Why are you creating a second thread for the same compilation problem? Please stick to one thread at a time.

Blankperson2,

As you say you are not a spammer, I have lifted your 5 post limit. ;)

And I have merged the 2 threads. Just try and stick to one at a time in future. :)

What is the error you get? You can't compile an a3x file, do you understand what an a3x file is and is used for?

Why did you open another thread while you have one open, which was already merged by Melba23 because you openen already 2?

I will not get you faster support and rather leads to avoidance. Last warning as to this behaviour!

Check you AntiVirus to see if that is detecting your compiled scripts as False Positive.

@guinness , yeah i do know that au3 is source file containing script but .a3x is not , it is formed by compiling the source , but i am new to autoit and so not aware of everything so i posted all possibilities i could tell you guys :)

Sorry Jos , i had thought that my original post became clumsy so i did so , i promise not to do again :)

      Hi all.
I have created an external au3 (a library of functions and vars) that is #included in a main script that i must compile.
I wish that the content of the library is not merged with the main script when compiling.
My goal is to keep the ability to modify the library even after the main exe is compiled and that these changes are effective when executing the exe.
I guess this is not possible using the standard #include method.
Is there a way to do that ?
      thx a lot :-)
