tampe125
Hi everyone, I have to walk an array filled with version numbers and I have to find the highest one. For example I could have [0] => "1.0.1.4" [1] => "1.2.0.12" [2] => "5.0.85" [3] => "4.6.3.23" Using the example before, the highest one should be number 2 (5.0.85). Is there anything like PHP version_compare function? Thanks in advance!

BrewManNH
I ran across the function one day a long time ago, I've never used it before this though. BrewManNH
The recommended method is the one that works for you in the script you're writing. JohnQSmith
So after reading those and omitting all the superfluous activities, it turns out there is only one way which is summarized in steps II and III in "The Direct Approach".
