Using BrewmanNH's _FileGetProperty -

Im sure this could be refined (if a more proper example does not already exist), any and all suggestions are welcome.

Edits: check the return from filelisttoarray

exit if cancel is pressed on fileselectfolder dialog

Did you try it before posting ?

is _FilegetProperty not returning anything for your directory choice? I can add the checks at each step along the way, but I am more curious now as to what blows it up on your end.

**If I push cancel on the fileselectfolder screen I throw that error, I'll take care of that...in my use it is a hardcoded path.

oh certainly, if the contents of [5][1] from the array returned by FileGetProperty are not in this format "MM/DD/YYYY hh:mm AM" then it would no doubt fail spectacularly. Any suggestions on an international friendly way to get the created date+time of a directory?

Option 2: The ridiculously simpler way, thanks guiness for pointing out the error of my ways

This would likely be the fastest method:

Global $sFolder = @WindowsDir, $sStdOut
$PID = Run(@ComSpec & ' /c DIR "' & $sFolder & '" /TC /AD /O-D /B', "", @SW_HIDE, 2) ; 2 = $STDOUT_CHILD
While Not @error
    $sStdOut &= StdoutRead($PID)
WEnd
$aStdOut = StringSplit($sStdOut, @CRLF)
MsgBox(0,"2",$aStdOut[1])

Insert a "/S" parameter and it searches subfolders as well.
