_WinAPI_Mouse_Event doesn't READ the mouse, it moves the mouse from what I'm reading in the header information of the function.

But in the AutoIT Guide under

_WinAPI_Mouse_Event section "$MOUSEEVENTF_WHEEL"

is wrote: "Specifies that the wheel has been moved, if the mouse has a wheel"

and section "$iData"

is wrote: "iData specifies the amount of wheel movement"

I have understood that when user moves mouse wheel function read mouse movement and

"Specifies that the wheel has been moved"

and adding "$iData", the function read and then specifies the number positive or negative of movement wheel.

In the example above of user "guinness" i have inserted after "ENDIF" of Func WM_MOUSEWHEEL

the command Msgbox(0, "", $iLength, 1) to obtain the value of $iData.

In this case function read mouse wheel and inform me of its rotation -1..-2.. or +1..+2

The value is that i want obtain but without GUI !

I want that using any kind of program that i have in any area of my screen i want

(without create any GUI as in this example) know the value of $iLength and shows it on screen.

Which paramatres i must insert in order to run correctly function ?

Thanks again.

#include <WinAPI.au3>

#include <WindowsConstants.au3>

While 1

   WM_MOUSEWHEEL()  ; ?????? Incorrect number of parametres in function call !!  :-(

   Msgbox(0, "", "You have rotated wheel of: " & $iLength, 2)

Wend

Func WM_MOUSEWHEEL($hWnd, $iMsg, $wParam, $lParam)

    #forceref $hWnd, $iMsg, $lParam

    Local $iLength = _WinAPI_HiWord($wParam) / 120

    If $iLength > 0 Then

        ConsoleWrite('Scrolled Up ' & $iLength & @LF)

    Else

        ConsoleWrite('Scrolled Down ' & Abs($iLength) & @LF)

    EndIf

EndFunc   ;==>WM_MOUSEWHEEL

It's quite possible this function no longer works in Windows, I'm not sure what MSDN means by superseded as to whether it means it's been replaced completely or they suggest to use something in its place.

From MSDN

The mouse_event function synthesizes mouse motion and button clicks.bb]
Note  This function has been superseded. Use SendInput instead.

Therefore,
There is no possibility to realize a script function (without using gui)
that permit me to check mouse event as do function _isPressed

 .... If _IsPressed("10", $hDLL) Then.....

for all mouse buttons but for Wheel event?

....If _IsWheel(xyz....) Then

IsWheel forward or backword and their number of rotation?
