KNadella
Hi Guys, I am trying to create a script that can pull an installation file from the network and bypass the UAC prompt (All the users on the domain are not administrators). Is there a script already available. Thanks, Karthik Nadella
Bert
Run the install as an administrator. Do you have access to the administrator account that is on the network? The Vollatran project My blog: http://www.vollysinterestingshit.com/
BigDod
You could try adding #RequireAdmin to the top of your script Time you enjoyed wasting is not wasted time ......T.S. KNadella
I have the admin access. I need a script to make this happen without inserting the username and password everytime the program installs. Please provide me with the script if you guys have any. Thank you for your help. -KN
Moderators JLogan3o13 Posted October 18, 2013 Moderators Share Posted October 18, 2013 KNadella, there are a couple of ways to accomplish what you're wanting to do. Take a look at RunAs in the help file. Also, please understand that this is not a forum where you make a request and someone barfs up complete code for you; you will need to have some initiative to try things on your own. Try the runas, and if you run into problems, feel free to post the script so we can assist. "Profanity is the last vestige of the feeble mind. Morthawt
Use the sysinternals tool called psexec.exe to deploy it via the network. That way you can make it run under what ever account you want, aka give it admin rights when the user has none. Free and easy Autoit scripting video tutorials (plus more videos always coming!) I am sure if you Google PSExec you will find the information on how to use it. And for the last time STOP resurrecting old threads. "Profanity is the last vestige of the feeble mind. Subz
Alternatively have a look at PDQ Deploy or Lansweeper both have free versions available (with some limitations). We use PDQ Deploy alongside SCCM for our third-party updates as PDQ Deploy releases third-party updates often, saves us having to repackage updates regularly.
