Look at the AutoIt beta for _WinAPI_ShellGetKnownFolderPath() & $FOLDERID_ControlPanelFolder. Pretty easy from there.

You didn't try the beta like I said. I'm guess you went directly to the WinAPIEx thread and chose the wrong version i.e. v3.3.6.1. Please read carefully that thread or just download the beta.

Well I don't get the error. What does @AutoItVersion show in a message box?

 

Version shows 3.3.8.1 by

MsgBox(4096, "Autoit", "Autoit version "& @AutoItVersion &" "&@OSType)

i am running the script in simple version. i changed it from simple to beta from the property of the script.thanks a lot of you again. But i cannot understand how to us it. script blink only and do nothing in my operating system.

If you need more macros then look at the file APIShellExConstants.au3 with the constants that have the prefix $FOLDERID_.
