Nevermind4
I've read this thread: '?do=embed' frameborder='0' data-embedContent>> but no matter how I play around with the sample script, I can't wrap my head around it. I do not understand the results of these functions, so I do not know how to get the result I am looking for. I think the output of this function is out of place since all other similar functions return file sizes in bytes. I don't fully understand what a uint64 string is or how it could possibly be useful, but that's beside the point. All I am looking to do is convert this uint64 into bytes to I can compare it to the output of literally every other similar function, like FileGetSize(), InetGetSize() and _FTP_ListToArrayEx() for example. A simple fix would be excellent, but an explanation would be better. Edited June 27, 2014 by Nevermind4
jchd
What is the problem with using the return value directly in a variable? BTW which version of AutoIt are you using? guinness
Whilst we wait for you to answer jchd, note that uint64 is an integer that is unsigned i.e. without the plus or minus and is 64 bits in length. Search ulong and you will see the range it can hold. It's quite a big number. Nevermind4
I'm using version Autoit v3.3.12.0 I can't use the return value because instead of returning bytes, it returns the value in uint64, which I can't figure out how to use. These are the return values for the same file, which is 998,353 bytes in size. FileGetSize: 998353 InetGetSize: 998353 _FTP_ListToArrayEx: 998353 ($array[1]) _FTP_FileGetSize: 4294967295 Edited June 27, 2014 by Nevermind4
jchd
4294967295 is 0xFFFFFFFF so I doubt you can "use" this value in any way. I thought the issue mentionned in the thread you linked to was fixed. If that is not the case it would be good to wait for someone else confirmation before reopenning the ticket #1167.
