Cannot compile since upgrading to Windows 8.1

5 posts in this topic

Hi Guys,

I hope you can help as I cannot find any threads covering an odd problem I have with compiling scripts. I have been using AutoIT for years without problem on Windows 7 x64. I had to rebuild my workstation last week and I have installed Windows 8.1 x64 along with the latest versions of AutoIT and SciTE. Now when I compile a script (Right Click > Compile Script (X86) or use Tools > Compile ) It just generates a 900KB file opposed to 300KB previously, with no icon and doesn't work.

I have tried it with no AV and I get the same issue.  Has anyone else come across this? I'm not really sure what is causing the problem, does anyone have any suggestions of what to try?

Thanks :)

No, it doesn't. Script executes fine from inside the editor though. I'm wondering if it's the version of AutoIT or the editor now rather than the OS however I don't know what the previous version I was running was. I think it may have been 3.3.X

Then you need to provide more information.

The output of the SciTE output pane when compiling the script would be fine.
