captind Posted December 16, 2014 Posted December 16, 2014 Hi Guys, I hope you can help as I cannot find any threads covering an odd problem I have with compiling scripts. I have been using AutoIT for years without problem on Windows 7 x64. I had to rebuild my workstation last week and I have installed Windows 8.1 x64 along with the latest versions of AutoIT and SciTE. Now when I compile a script (Right Click > Compile Script (X86) or use Tools > Compile ) It just generates a 900KB file opposed to 300KB previously, with no icon and doesn't work. I have tried it with no AV and I get the same issue. Has anyone else come across this? I'm not really sure what is causing the problem, does anyone have any suggestions of what to try? Thanks
water Posted December 16, 2014 Posted December 16, 2014 The compiled Exe works? captind Posted December 16, 2014 Author Posted December 16, 2014 No, it doesn't. Script executes fine from inside the editor though. I'm wondering if it's the version of AutoIT or the editor now rather than the OS however I don't know what the previous version I was running was. I think it may have been 3.3.X
water Posted December 16, 2014 Posted December 16, 2014 Then you need to provide more information. The output of the SciTE output pane when compiling the script would be fine.
