I have no resources.au3, it seems to be no Standard-UDF, so i can't test.

There is at least one error in that script as you have RC_STRING in there which isn't a string or variable.

AutoBert,

So why bother posting at all?

shad0wless,

From what I can see of the syntax for Zedna's UDF, you have a number of parameter errors in that function call:

_ResourceGetAsStringW($ResName, $ResType = $RT_RCDATA, $ResLang = 0, $DLL = -1)

It's advisable to use my Resources UDF if you're using later versions of AutoIt.

This version is working fine for me:

#AutoIt3Wrapper_Res_File_Add=test.txt, 10, txtdata
#include "resourcesex.au3"
; get string from resource
$string = _Resource_GetAsString("txtdata", 10, 2057, @ScriptDir&"\test.exe")
MsgBox(262144, 'Debug line ~' & @ScriptLineNumber, 'Selection:' & @CRLF & '$string' & @CRLF & @CRLF & 'Return:' & @CRLF & $string) ;### Debug MSGBOX

I am using the resourcesex.au3 include not the one you are using so you need to use the correct UDF name.
The point of my post was that you are using wrong parameter values!

Your include file contains errors too so get yourself a proper UDF file.
