Mess up settings in Scite for autoit

Weird story. Been using Autoit for more than a year now. But recently moved to a new machine, so did a fresh install, and suddenly I saw menus I never saw before in the editor.

For example, I Always used to have: Tools>Compile and then it would compile my au3 code. Now, the tools menu has a lot of options but after pressing Compile it goes to a whole new screen specifically for au3 code to select more options, also it debugs my code, which prevents compiling if badly coded.

Of course this is fine, but I would really like to recompile some old crappy code I wrote, regardless of the mistakes that are still in there, also I am really used to the old setup I had,

so kind of not done, but how do i get this 'bad'  configuration back? Does it have to do with the au3.properties file? What should I do with it....

Did you install the AutoIt Editor as well - https://www.autoitscript.com/site/autoit-script-editor/downloads/?

It seems like it, John, correct your script mistakes, and press F7 (build) instead of Ctrl+F7 (compile)

Sounds like you installed the FUll SciTE4utoIt3 installer which has many extra's and one of them is that it runs Autoit3Wrapper at run and compile time, which does an au3check before running/compiling to check the source.

Thanks Jos, deinstalled it, and my crappy code compiles again.

Actually I will ... later. How many bugs do you think code that took more than a year of writing contains...

If you want all "bells and whistles" that the full SciTE4AutoIt3 install gives you , but still want to compile your code despite the errors, you could just add:

#AutoIt3Wrapper_Run_AU3Check=n

at the top of the script. Then you get no check before compile and your "crappy code" should still compile without problem - although you might well find that it produces problems later while running because of an error left uncorrected.

Hahhaa reminds me of a friend of mine who had lots of viruses on the pc, but because the anti-virus was always complaining,

and he couldn't find what was re-installing the viruses, he uninstalled the antivirus. XD

The engine problem light just went on, so screwed the light bulb out to make the problem go away.
