Remove figure from the open workbook Excel

I think the problem is caused by either

• The 64bit version of Excel:
  99.99% of the users seem to use the 32bit version. The UDF was created and tested with Office 2010 and 2016.
  _Excel_BookAttach uses the workbook CLSID to access the list of open workbooks. I could not find any information on the web if the CLSID is the same for 64bit Excel.
• Mixing 64bit Excel 2013 and 32bit Excel 2007 on the same machine: If I correctly understand your last post then both versions of Excel are installed on the same machine? If true, this might lead to the results we get.

Do you now work on a development computer? If yes, could you please test your script on a production computer (I assume that in an production environment there is no need to mix Excel versions)?

Try this after 1.xls has been opened in whatever way you like and show us what you see:

Local $aWorkBooks = _Excel_BookList() 
If @error Then Exit MsgBox($MB_SYSTEMMODAL, "Excel UDF: _Excel_BookList Example 2", "Error listing Workbooks." & @CRLF & "@error = " & @error & ", @extended = " & @extended)

I assume we will get a similar result with _Excel_BookList as this function uses the CLSID to access all workbooks. That's like _Excel_BookAttach tries to connect to th specified workbook.

Seems there is a space between $ and aWorkbooks. Remove the space and the error should disappear

That's an error you should already be able to solve yourself
If a function can not be found then something is missing

What WATER is trying to say is that you need to add the excel UDF include in the beginning...
