I should first ask if there actually is a set of scripting dictionary functions built in to the latest release version of AutoIt. There seems to be based on hints, but since I can't find any official documentation of such, it makes sense to ask this basic question first.

Which leads directly to my main question: If part of the official release, where can I find the documentation?  If it's not official, I can get the documentation from the UDF that's descended from Gary Frost's with more recent enhancements here, Scripting Dictionary modified, correct?

ETA: This isn't academic, since I'm getting an error while attempting a $dict.ADD()

Thanks.

BTW: I have been working with Maps in the Beta release, and they'll be great when the remaining problems are resolved (most recently, I can't seem to get non-zero data values from them, but I could certainly be doing something wrong). The reason I bring this up is just to let readers know that I've tried Maps without success, so I'll be using dictionaries instead.

Dictionary isn't built in AutoIt, it's a part of VBA for Office. Details can be found here.

Mbee,

I have been using Maps since the early days of their introduction and never had a problem retrieving values. I suggest you post a short reproducer script to show the problem you are having.

Well, wise Melba23, I was wrong, and I've discovered what I think is the cause of my mistake. See: Please review my usage of scripting dictionaries

So I'm very happy indeed to be able to use Maps after all!
