Yashied
Is there a way in AutoIt to effectively reduce the size of compiled (exe) script. I do not mean UPX, etc. Thank. trancexx
If you don't wanna use some exe compressor then with 3.3.0.0 you will always have more than 598 KB (562 if you lose resources). That's not too much. ♡♡♡ . eMyvnE
Moderators Melba23 Posted March 30, 2009 Moderators Share Posted March 30, 2009 Yashied,If you add the following directives to your script:#AutoIt3Wrapper_Run_Obfuscator=y #Obfuscator_Parameters=/SOObfuscator removes all unused functions and constants from the include files as well as stripping your script down to a minimum by removing comments and whitespace. However, do NOT ask for the AutoIt interpreter stub to be compressed or reduced in the same manner - it is on the Do-Not-Ask list of feature requests! Moderators Melba23 Posted March 30, 2009 Moderators Share Posted March 30, 2009 SpookMeister, That is because you have used upx to compress it. If you do not, it comes in at 613k. huskies
this is probably a super noob question, but most of my autoit scripts in au3 formats are less than 10kb but when i exe them their size goes beyond 600 - 900 kb, why is that? <It Shall Be Done>

While/Wend, FileCopy, ETC) with your .au3 wrapped around the outside to tell it what to do.
