problem with rightclick in listview [SOLVED]

I have two programs, quite different but both using listviews, in which the user can select a listview item and stuff happens to that line.

In one program, I'm using a GUIGetMsg() loop. The user can select a line and then click a button, or rightclick on it, and stuff happens. This works (truncated code snippet from a much larger script, but you should be able to get the idea):

While 1
    $guimsg = GUIGetMsg()
    $begin = TimerInit()
    Switch $guimsg

        Case $GUI_EVENT_SECONDARYUP
            ContinueCase
        Case $replacebutton
            $editline = _GUICtrlListView_GetSelectionMark($listid) ; zero based so one less than the data line number

etc

As I said, the above works properly either way.

In the other program, it's using GUIOnEventMode to detect the button click or the rightclick:

GUICtrlSetOnEvent($editbutton, "EditClicked")
GUICtrlSetOnEvent($GUI_EVENT_SECONDARYUP, "EditClicked")

Here, it works correctly when the user selects a line and then clicks the $editbutton, but absolutely nothing happens when rightclicking. The "while 1" loop that runs while the GUI is displayed contains some stuff to monitor any scrolling or column width resizing and keep labels aligned with it, but all the other stuff (handling button clicks, etc.) are in functions external to the loop.

What am I missing?

P.S. Is there no GUI_EVENT for a doubleclick?

Dana,

You need

GUISetOnEvent($GUI_EVENT_SECONDARYUP, "EditClicked")

not

GUICtrlSetOnEvent($GUI_EVENT_SECONDARYUP, "EditClicked") :x

P.S. Is there no GUI_EVENT for a doubleclick?

Search WM_NOTIFY in the Help file and look for the ListView Example, $NM_DBLCLICK in WM_NOTIFY is to detect a doubleclick.

Thanks both of you. Melba23, that's a DOH! Guiness, the helpfile wasn't much use but you pointed me in the right direction to search here.

GUIRegisterMsg($WM_NOTIFY, "WM_NOTIFY")
 .
 .
 .
Func WM_NOTIFY($hWnd, $iMsg, $iwParam, $ilParam) ; subroutine to detect doubleclicks
    Local $hWndListView = GUICtrlGetHandle($datalist)
    Local $tNMHDR = DllStructCreate($tagNMHDR, $ilParam)
    Local $hWndFrom = HWnd(DllStructGetData($tNMHDR, "hWndFrom"))
    Local $iCode = DllStructGetData($tNMHDR, "Code")
    If ($hWndFrom = $hWndListView And $iCode = $NM_DBLCLK) Then EditClicked()
EndFunc   ;==>WM_NOTIFY

Seems a lot of code to capture a doubleclick but hey, it works...
