[SOLVED] Breaking out of Function but not out of script

I had the bright idea recently of taking all of my most oft-used scripts and pulling them together into one app that sits in the tray. This allows me to rightclick and execute easily. It works pretty well, but I seem to run into issue with functions. As this holds a number of other scripts, there are several functions. Where I run into issues is trying to break out of a function, without killing the whole script. An example is below, part of a script that returns an array of Group Membership in AD:

<BR>...<BR><BR>Func myLoop()<BR><BR>Local $var[1]<BR><BR>$group = InputBox( "Group Membership", "Please enter the name of the group" )<BR>$group1 = ObjGet("WinNT://mydomain/" & $group & ",group")<BR><BR>For $User In $Group1.Members<BR>_ArrayAdd($var, $User.Name)<BR><BR>Next<BR><BR>_ArraySort($var)<BR>_ArrayDisplay($var, "Group Membership")<BR><BR>$done = MsgBox(4, "Group Membership", "Would you like to choose another Group?")<BR><BR>[color="#ff0000"]If $done <> 7 Then<BR>  Call("group")<BR>Else<BR>  Exit<BR>EndIf[/color]<BR>EndFunc<BR>...<BR>

As a standalone script, this works fine; if the user did not want to look at another group it would simply exit the script. But now I would like to just exit the function, not the entire script. I have tried wrapping the If statement into a While so I could use ExitLoop, but this doesn't seem to work either. Just curious if there is an easy way to exit a function without ending the entire script.

Try this:

Else
  Return
EndIf

If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. Also, if it doesn't work on XP I can't help with that because I don't have access to XP, and I'm not going to.

Thanks for the suggestion. I did try that as well, but it still loops continually. It's not as user friendly, but I may just have to remove the loop altogether.

Melba's proposed fix in code:

Func myLoop()

    Local $var[1]

    $group = InputBox("Group Membership", "Please enter the name of the group")
    $group1 = ObjGet("WinNT://mydomain/" & $group & ",group")

    For $User In $group1.Members
        _ArrayAdd($var, $User.Name)

    Next

    _ArraySort($var)
    _ArrayDisplay($var, "Group Membership")

    $done = MsgBox(4, "Group Membership", "Would you like to choose another Group?")

    If $done <> 7 Then
        group() ;<== What is this?
    Else
        Return
    EndIf
EndFunc   ;==>myLoop

It should work. If it doesn't, then the problem is somewhere else .. For example you may be calling the function again, or $done <> 7 is not the correct expression. Etc.

Not sure how to mark this as Solved, but you were correct Manadar. The script was not liking the way I was calling another function. The following ended up working just fine. Thanks!

Func group()

Local $var[1]

While 1

$group = InputBox( "Group Membership", "Please enter the name of the group" )
 If @error = 1 Then
  ExitLoop
 EndIf

$group1 = ObjGet("WinNT://mydomain/" & $group & ",group")
 If @error Then
  MsgBox(0, "Group not found", "Please check the spelling of this group and try again.")
  ExitLoop
 EndIf

For $User In $Group1.Members
 _ArrayAdd($var, $User.Name)

Next

_ArraySort($var)
_ArrayDisplay($var, "Group Membership")

$done = MsgBox(4, "Group Membership", "Would you like to choose another Group?")
 If $done = 7 Then
  ExitLoop
 EndIf
WEnd

EndFunc
