SplashImage Width and Height Problem

Hey

why does this work:

$Width = StringTrimRight( _GetExtProperty( $Picture, 162 ), 6 )
$Height = StringTrimRight( _GetExtProperty( $Picture, 164 ), 6 )
ToolTip( $Width&" "&$Height ) ; i can see these
SplashImageOn( $pcNAME, $Picture, 3361 / 2, 1051 / 2, 500, 200, 18 )

and this not?

$Width = StringTrimRight( _GetExtProperty( $Picture, 162 ), 6 )
$Height = StringTrimRight( _GetExtProperty( $Picture, 164 ), 6 )
ToolTip( $Width&" "&$Height ) ; i can see these
SplashImageOn( $pcNAME, $Picture, $Width / 2, $Height / 2, 500, 200, 18 )

Does ExtProperty give me a string? Do i have to convert it into an number - and how?

What is the detail of the function _GetExtProperty()? What do you mean with it is not working?

Probably _GetExtProperty() returns something useless for width and/or height.

Probably _GetExtProperty() returns something useless for width and/or height.

Thats what i thought...

It returns a width and a height of my picture...

When i display them in a tooltip i can see these values.

If i use them in GUICtrlCreatePic() They work

But they dont work in GUICreate() or in SplashImageOn() ;)

I think that these values are strings.

Now the function SplashImageOn() Waits for a number...

Number() - doesn't work, neither Int()....

They return 0

So what is this format of width and height?

It must directly been taken out of a file property...

But if it can't be translated to a number or int than what the :graduated: is that? :)

The problem firstly is what is _GetExtProperty()? If I were to hazard a guess I would say it was the function by Melba23, other than that we have no idea what it returns.

Solution:

A quick search on the forum using the keywords 'image size' and I found this >> which gives you a solution by UEZ and then in that post it points to another thread about a similar problem with _GetExtProperty().
