Hi,

Is there a function to check if a GUI is visible on screen.

The closest I could get is with WinGetState( "title" [, "text"] ) where I can find whether the GUI is visible (not hidden) but not whether the GUI is behind some other window or is actually visible on screen.

Is it possible to find whether my GUI is behind some other window.

Look at WinGetState again and "8 = Window is active" e.g.

Func _IsActive($hHandle)
    Return BitAND(WinGetState($hHandle), 8) = 8

Thanks for the reply.

But BitAND(WinGetState($hHandle), 8) = 8 will tell me whether the window is active or not.

My need is slightly different.

Assuming my GUI is not active there can be two possibilities

1. It is visible on screen (though not active)

2. It is hidden behind another window.

How can I find out which state it is in?

Thanks for the prompt reply.

I have made a script to demonstrate that (2 = Window is visible) does not work. It only tells state of window whether visible or hidden such as with @SW_HIDE = Hide window.

I am sorry if I have not made myself clear.

note that if I set GUISetState(@SW_HIDE) in my script it works correct.
