Find a specific file?

Hi,

I want to create a simple tool, that needs to find a specific file in one (or more) subdirectory to function properly.

Example directory structure:

D:\temp

D:\temp\gVim [Portable].exe <= this will be the compiled autoit script

D:\temp\vim

D:\temp\vim\vim<version number 1>

D:\temp\vim\vim<version number 1>\gvim.exe

D:\temp\vim\vim<version number 2>

D:\temp\vim\vim<version number 2>\gvim.exe

D:\temp\vim\vimfiles

As you can see, the D:\temp\vim folder has e.g. three subfolders, two of them can have the gvim.exe file in it (but only if they

are named like: vim73, vim74, etc.).

Is there a simple way to store all gvim.exe files including their full path in an array and if more than one is found, display a selection

list that let's the user choose which version to start (if only one is found, start it directly).

Because the subfolder structure is fixed (apart from the "vim<version number> ones) it would be nice if only these folders are evaluated

and there would be no recursion necessary.

Have at a look at FileExists

and then do a If FileExsits then ...

Or _FileListToArray (maybe even the UDF _FileListToArrayEx from Melba)

Thanks man, I used the one from Ron ones. That is why I only remembered that function name. Although Melbas function is better, because is able to deal with öäü.
