Jaydrury1992
Basically what I am tring to do is to create a simple GUI for users to connect remote sites via UltraVNC, the problem is to automate the connection and login through UltaVNC it uses cmd commands which I use batch files for. My question is can a combobox via Koda call batch files or can cmd commands be run through Autoit and incorporated into the combobox? PhoenixXL
This will also help Another example #include <Constants.au3> Local $nPID = Run("sort.exe", @SystemDir, @SW_HIDE, $STDIN_CHILD + $STDOUT_CHILD) ;Write Some Thing StdinWrite($nPID, "Hello There") ;Invalidate the Stream for further writing StdinWrite($nPID) ; Read from child's STDOUT and show Local $data While True $data &= STDOutRead($nPID) If @error Then ExitLoop Sleep(25) WEnd MsgBox(0, "Debug", $data) ;Or This ;In this case the Scite window is treated as the STDOUT [for more help regarding this look here ;"http://www.autoitscript.com/forum/topic/111298-cmdexe-with-redirected-stdin/page__hl__+cmd%20+std#entry780932"] Local $nPID = Run(@ComSpec&" /c Hello There", @SystemDir, @SW_HIDE, $STDIN_CHILD + $STDOUT_CHILD) ;Write Some Thing StdinWrite($nPID, "Hello There") ;Invalidate the Stream for further writing StdinWrite($nPID) ; Read from child's STDOUT and show Local $data While True $data &= STDOutRead($nPID) If @error Then ExitLoop Sleep(25) WEnd MsgBox(0, "Debug", $data) My code: PredictText: Predict Text of an Edit Control Like Scite. BrewManNH
@JayDrury1992 If you need to run batch files, which you probably don't really need because AutoIt can do anything the batch file is doing, you can use the value read from the combobox to start a Run command. Look at GUICtrlRead for how to get the text from a combobox, and the Select or Switch commands to determine which batch file to run. If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. Also, if it doesn't work on XP I can't help with that because I don't have access to XP, and I'm not going to.Give a programmer the correct code and he can do his work for a day. Jaydrury1992
Thank you, Both posters have helped me resolve the issue. Looks like I need to do a bit more research before asking questions.
