Mouse click by screen percentage.

3 posts in this topic

Hi,

I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction. I am trying to automate some testing and whilst the majority of it can be done through key strokes there are sometimes that a mouse click is the only solution.

Could anyone tell me if there is a way to use percentages of the screen instead of coordinates (The testing will be run on different machines with varying screen resolutions / aspects), and also display the position of the mouse in a percentage of the screen.

If I am being completely stupid, please tell me also :D

Thanks

James

Have a look in the help file to

@DesktopWidth
@DesktopHeight
MouseGetPos(0)
MouseGetPos(1)

and do some math to get the percentage.

Hi, was bored, so i figured i should help...

Local $Loop
Do
Sleep(50)
$Width = @DesktopWidth
$Height = @DesktopHeight
$X = MouseGetPos(0) / $Width * 100
$Y =  MouseGetPos(1) / $Height * 100
$Xleft = StringLeft($X, 4)
$Yleft = StringLeft($Y, 4)
ToolTip('X = '&$Xleft&'%' & ' Y = '&$Yleft&'%', 500, 0, 'Coords')
;TrayTip('Coords', 'X = '&$Xleft&'%' & ' Y = '&$Yleft&'%', 0)
Until $Loop = 1

EDIT: oh well..
