StringTrim to Special Character

I'm sure there is a simple solution for this and I'm unable to find it or figure it out on my own.

I would like to know how I can string trim this \\SEVER\SHARE\THIS - USERS SHARE

and trim it to the first slash from the left so the output is THIS - USERS SHARE

The name of the shares will be of various lengths.

Might be easiest to use string split and then grab whatever is the last item in the array that is produced?

Try using the StringSplit function, with the backslash character as the delimiter.

Why use StringSplit when you can do it like this >>

Local $sText = 'SEVERSHARETHIS - USERS SHARE'
$sText = StringTrimLeft($sText, StringInStr($sText, '', 2, -1))
MsgBox(4096, '', $sText)

StringTrimLeft($sPath, StringInStr($sPath, "",  0, -1))

There is also a regexp solution but I can't find it with my phone; someone will post it.

As I read it I can understand how this works, the only thing I really don't understand is what does the -1 mean/do?

Param occurrence: Use a negative occurrence to search from the right side.

So -1 is the lastest occurence.

Of course I should have explained, but I presumed you would have consulted the help file anyway.

I would say this is an optimised approach using a regular expression.

Local $sText = 'SEVERSHARETHIS - USERS SHARE'
$sText = StringRegExpReplace($sText, '[a-zA-Z0-9-]+', '') ; Or you could use [w]+
ConsoleWrite($sText & @CRLF)
