pcjunki
i googled "ThunderRT6FormDC" and came up with microsoft money does it really cost $1500? The pop up says NOTHING. It is a small pop up alert box that has an exclamation point with no text in it. It freezes both the application and Autoit Info into I click the "okay" button. This is all I get: >>>> Window <<<< Title: APPLICATION NAME Class: ThunderRT6FormDC Position: -4, -4 Size: 1448, 809 Style: 0x17CF0000 ExStyle: 0x00040100 Handle: 0x000A018A >>>> Control <<<< Class: AfxOleControl80s Instance: 3 ClassnameNN: AfxOleControl80s3 Name: Advanced (Class): [CLASS:AfxOleControl80s; INSTANCE:3] ID: Text: Position: 133, 99 Size: 1301, 12994 ControlClick Coords: 573, 133 Style: 0x56000000 ExStyle: 0x00000014 Handle: 0x000106AE >>>> Mouse <<<< Position: 710, 262 Cursor ID: 0 Color: 0xFFFFB0
Quual
lets pretend the application's title is SomeApp and the coords where you need to add text is 20 pixels from the top and 50 pixels from the left side Local $hWin = WinGetHandle('SomeApp') Local $aPos = WinGetPos($hWin) WinActivate($hWin) MouseClick("left", $aPos[0] + 50, $aPos[1] + 20) Send("Bla, Bla, Bla...") bgold
EDIT: If I have a particular text field that has a text in it. Is it possible to search for this text and figure out the "ID" of this text box and then activate it on command instead of tabbing to it? i googled "ThunderRT6FormDC" and came up with microsoft money does it really cost $1500? It's not microsoft money but I'm sure maybe part of the app uses some of its forms? lets pretend the application's title is SomeApp and the coords where you need to add text is 20 pixels from the top and 50 pixels from the left side Local $hWin = WinGetHandle('SomeApp') Local $aPos = WinGetPos($hWin) WinActivate($hWin) MouseClick("left", $aPos[0] + 50, $aPos[1] + 20) Send("Bla, Bla, Bla...") Thanks for the example! This will only work on the resolution that I am currently in, correct? Or is the window position not affected by resolution? Look at ControlClick or ControlSend, now that you have the control handles you should be able to access them with AutoIt. Thanks for the tip, al though the button's or fields I need to click don't have text on them. It's just a big blank box that I need to right click so maybe Quual's example is what I need to do. In the future make sure Options >> Use Spy++ Control Detection Logic is ticked. This was enabled in The Autoit Window Info, but still got blocked by the application. I am not using Microsoft Spy++ ver.8 at the moment which hasn't been blocked. ------ Thanks everyone for your willingness to help! I think for the time being I will be able to do about 70% of what I need by just tabbing through the form fields. After that, I guess I will try Quaal's suggestion and see if I can click the other buttons I need to activate and see if it works out but I am afraid with resolution differences I am going to have some trouble. Thanks GordonFreeman for the Spy++ link and I hope everyone has a great New Year!! Edited December 31, 2012 by bgold
BrewManNH
The text in ControlClick is optional. I know the handle of the Window but I can't get the specific handles of the form fields inside the window. It doesn't let me find those.
