Question on array functions

Hi,

I was not sure how to title this topic, so if you have a better title, feel free to rename it.

Say, that I have this function:

Func Pos(ByRef $Item)
Local $Pos[2]
$Pos[0] = Floor(($Item)/10)*76+38
$Pos[1] = Mod($Item,10)*105+30
Return Pos
EndFunc

Would it be possible to use this function directly as an array, doing something like:

Pos(1)[0]

No you will have to assign it - but you can declare it in a simpler manner: ;)

$aPos = _Pos()

Func _Pos()
    Local $Pos[2] = [$Item * 2, $Item * 3]
    Return $Pos
EndFunc

Nice idea though.

MsgBox($MB_SYSTEMMODAL, '', Array(2)) ; Will return the 2nd index of the function array.
MsgBox($MB_SYSTEMMODAL, '', Array(20)) ; Will return -1 as the array is out of bounds.

Func Array($iValue)
    Local Static $aArray[3] = ['Row 0', 'Row 1', 'Row 2'] ; Static will create variable that will last for the duration of the application, but is only visible in the function it is called.
    $iValue = Int($iValue) ; Cast as an integer.
    If $iValue < 0 Or $iValue > UBound($aArray) Then
        Return SetError(1, 0, -1)
    EndIf
    Return $aArray[$iValue]
EndFunc   ;==>Array

Also with the AutoIt beta versions you can call StringSplit a little like the idea you suggested.
