What do you use?

I use the basic Mozilla 4.0 version, this one should be recognized and accepted by any server.

It depends on what you want to do.

In most cases you will need to make a request, whatever the computer.

Changing the user agent according to the user's system has no interest unless you own the website and you want to know some informations.

I am curious to see your point of view.

Well at the moment I'm developing an application and the stipulation for using the FREE API, is the user string should be unique and not "spoof" a browser's user agent string i.e. not AutoIt (default.)

I think you have thought too far. Even though the server bothers about the user agent, it would be a tiny proportion compared to the traffic.

Edit: This topic is interesting on how to make a correct user-agent.

I just don't want my application or the user to blocked for breaking the terms of the API. You're right though, my question is aimed at correct structure of a user agent string.
