hogfan Posted April 25, 2013 Share Posted April 25, 2013 I have done a bit of searching and am not sure what function I need to use for this. For Example, I have a string named:Test/UserI want to do a find and replace by searching for the "/" in the string and replacing it with an "_". I would like to do the same for other illegal characters as well. The string will be used in a filename and fails to save if there are illegal characters. The other way to fix this would be to not allow illegal characters to be entered to begin with, but the users will be copying and pasting stuff, so it's easier in this case just to automatically search for specific characters in the string and replace them with the underscore.
