ProcessExists still detecting the process after closing it

Hey there, a stupid problem which i'm facing, I have ProcessExists function in a loop to notify me when a process runs, but even after closing the process and Exit the script then run it again it notifies me that the process is still exists but it's not really running!

If ProcessExists("mspaint.exe") Then MsgBox(0,"","Paint is running")

It tells me that it's running even after closing it -__-

am I missing something?

What does ProcessList() show? As using the process name i.e. myProg.exe will display if one or more of those processes are showing. Best to use the PID to monitor the process.

thanks for replying, I tried

$list = ProcessList("mspaint.exe")
For $i = 1 To $list[0][0]
    MsgBox(0, $list[$i][0], $list[$i][1])
Next

It showd a PID but...... mspaint is not running and it's not shown in Windows Task Manager !

I try ProcessExists() to detect a new process then it works fine, but then still detecting it even after closing that whatever process.

A shorthand way would have been using _ArrayDisplay() for debugging.
 

#include <Array.au3>

Local $aArray = ProcessList('mspaint.exe')
_ArrayDisplay($aArray)

It means the program is hung or didn't close properly and thus though the window doesn't show doesn't mean the app still isn't running. Use ProcessClose() and try again.

It's not happening only with mspaint, it's happening with every program i run, Now ProcessClose() worked fine and ProcessExists() is not detecting it, but!! why so?!!
