Yamz Posted December 6, 2013 Posted December 6, 2013 Sorry folks but I am a new developer. I'm not new to technology as I hold multiple certs in many areas but I want to create apps that I can sell to clients using Autoit. Is this a viable solution? Seems as though I can easily create bots and small functional programs with less code and time with this language. Am I crazy? Should I invest in a VB.NET book and learn that instead? Is there a way for me to create Android or IOS apps using AutoIt? I am really looking to use AutoIt for all my programing needs. All help is appreciated and thanks in advance for you responses.

water Posted December 6, 2013 Posted December 6, 2013 AutoIt is for Windows only. If you have a look at the Example Scripts forum you will see that people use AutoIt to solve all kinds of "problems". The biggest advantage IMHO of AutoIt is the long list of UDFs. You can easily interact with other systems (like SMTP mail servers, Browsers, Office products etc.).
