NomadMemory doesn't return the right address...

6 posts in this topic

Hey there!

I have a little problem... I have the static pointer of an address with all the offsets and I am trying to retreive a value but... in cheat engine returns me the right value perfectly, but If I try to search the value with Autoit and NomadMemory UDF doesn't return the right addresses.

I am trying first with the base address and doesn't give me the right address who is pointing.

#include <NomadMemory.au3>

Global $pid, $memory

; vit
Global $base_address[1] = [Hex(0x007C7B4C)]
Global $offset1[2] = [0, Hex(0x2f8)]

If WinGetProcess("*proccess*") == -1 Then
    MsgBox(16, "Info.", "No se encuentra el proceso")
Else
    $pid = WinGetProcess("*proccess*")

    $memory = _MemoryOpen($pid)

    $final_add = "0x" & $base_address[0]

    $sp2_cur_vit = _MemoryRead($final_add, $memory, 'dword')
    MsgBox(64, "Result:", $final_add & " -> " & $sp2_cur_vit)

    _MemoryClose($memory)
    Exit
EndIf

That's a little example.

Here is an image:

xivy.jpg

As you can see, the base address is 0x007C7B4C, wich in this case points to 0x0F7C7008. But NomadMemory's _MemoryRead() returns "1760660224" as the value of the base address 0x007C7B4C. This is working at the same time. The cheat engine, the script, and the proccess but I get two different values... I don't understand.

This is my NomadMemory.au3:

By the way. If I use the final dynamic address I get the right final value... I don't understand what happens. I have tried with other forms that I saw googleing but still nothing.

Welcome to AutoIt and the forum!

Did you read the forum rules? A link can be found in the lower right corner of each page.

You will see that game automation isn't allowed here.

That's what I assume you try to do. Or is it some other program you try to automate?

Seeing how he edited the pic to hide the app he is using in cheat engine - I assume he knows it is against the forum rules and thus he is trying to get around the rule. When this kind of thing is done, a mod will usually break out the Jos 2x4

I didn't know that. But I am freaking out with the problem.

Can I create another post with some other normal proccess or maybe edit this one...? The thing is the same.

By the way, I hid the name of the proccess because the proccess doesn't seems to be important to me.

If a subject has been marked/locked as game related then rewording the thread or creating a new one doesn't help (violation of item 7 of the forum rules)

It will only put you on the Moderators watch list ;)

takuya1,

Welcome to the AutoIt forum. :)

Unfortunately you appear to have missed the Forum rules on your way in. Please read them now (there is also a link at bottom right of each page) - particularly the bit about not discussing game interaction - and then you will understand why you will get no help and this thread will now be locked. :naughty:

I hope to see you soon with a legitimate question - as long as it is not a rewording of this one. ;)
