wosteen
Hello everyone! I've seen the post @ '?do=embed' frameborder='0' data-embedContent>> where it explains how to use #AutoIt3Wrapper_Res_SaveSource=Y. I do have a question though... It explicitly states in the AutoIt help file regarding the FileInstall function: The only exception to the above, is that the source file may be @ScriptFullPath - this allows you to include the source script. I tried this and it didn't work, thus the search here on the forum. I'm wondering if this is an error in the documentation, and it's not supposed to work, or the documentation is correct, and the function has an issue? Could I please get some clarification? Thanks so much Edited November 3, 2014 by wosteen
MikahS
You did use #AutoIt3Wrapper_Res_SaveSource=Y when trying @ScriptFullPath correct? guinness
In the current version you can use @ScriptFullPath with FileInstall(). wosteen
Yes, I'm putting #AutoIt3Wrapper_Res_SaveSource=Y in my source. Yes, I'm using the latest version, so long as you don't mean beta when you say latest. I'm running AutoIt 3.3.12.0. #AutoIt3Wrapper_Res_SaveSource=Y Local $sFolder = @DesktopDir & "\" & "Source Decompile" & "\" If Not FileExists($sFolder) Then DirCreate($sFolder) FileInstall(@ScriptFullPath,$sFolder,1) This creates the folder on my desktop as expected. It creates the source file if I use F5 and run it from Scite. It does *not* place a source file in the folder if I run it compiled. Thanks! guinness
You need to compile it! Also the SaveSource directive is kind of not needed in this instance. Solution BrewManNH Posted November 3, 2014 Solution Share Posted November 3, 2014 It appears to only copy the source to the folder if you specify a file name in the destination, it won't do it if there's just a folder name there. This works while your example failed for me.
