Ok that i understand so how do i fix the win 7 machine that compiles the scripts that i use? that had the same file that i copied into the portable version which work on the target machine but don't work when compiled on the WIN 7 machine.

Is it to do with the manifest that guinness mentioned?

Just to reply to your earlier question, search manifest file on Google. It's automatically added to the executable on compilation, so nothing you can really do unless you specifically set compatibility via a pragma or AutoItWrapper directive.

That particular issue is resolved in the current beta version of AutoIt3wrapper:

- 15.729.1555.2: Added Win10 to the Manifest and made that the default similar to what aut2exe does.
