Hi,

Since Autoit versions > 3.3.10.0 Bit Defender Antivirus sees all my compliled scripts as a "MIDAS3" malware.

Does anybody has this same issue ?

Thanks.

Use better AV software, because I've never had a program flagged with any I've used before.

If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. Also, if it doesn't work on XP I can't help with that because I don't have access to XP, and I'm not going to.

Back up and restore Windows user files _Array.au3 - Modified array functions that include support for 2D arrays.  -  ColorChooser - An add-on for SciTE that pops up a color dialog so you can select and paste a color code into a script.  -  Customizable Splashscreen GUI w/Progress Bar - Create a custom "splash screen" GUI with a progress bar and custom label.  -  _FileGetProperty - Retrieve the properties of a file  -  SciTE Toolbar - A toolbar demo for use with the SciTE editor  -  GUIRegisterMsg demo - Demo script to show how to use the Windows messages to interact with controls and your GUI.  -   Latin Square password generator

I have the same problem in the office where, among other things, I can not make any modifications to the AV.
Any solution?

The AV is Symantec Endpoin Protection.

actually I tried to compile the program without using UPX and the AV does not consider it positive, but the size of the program is more than double.

@nico18n Talk to your security team if you do not have the access. Anything else would be tantamount to circumventing your company's security posture, which is not something we want to support here.

Symantec is the company-mandated AV here (current client is SEPM 12.1.5337.5000), and nothing was ever flagged in the 4 years I've used Autoit for development.

I had problems with Avira though...

A file on a Windows machine using NTFS would have to be larger than 4K bytes in size before it becomes an issue due to file allocation size limits. My most ambitious project that includes FileInstalls of icons is less than 2Kb in size.
