WMI is your answer. There are so many options that I opted for using the details from "Win32_ComputerSystemProduct"

Global $aArray = _ComputerNameAndModel() ; Returns an Array with 2 Indexes.
MsgBox(0, "_ComputerNameAndModel()", 'The Product is a "' & $aArray[0] & '" and the Model Number is "' & $aArray[1] & '".')

Works on Windows 7 & XP Logged into a single User Account. Did you try on other machines?

PS - what other data items can be acquired using WMI?

It is not working on Windows XP on my PC

but working on windows 7 starter
