Compiled script not working

Hi,

I'm facing a Weird issue from yesterday on a particular machine. Tried a lot of things, but did not get any solution.

I created a script that runs a notepad. It works well when the script is not compiled (ie, when I press F5 from scite editor). But when I compile it and run the exe, it throws an error saying "Windows cannot find notepad.exe. windows cannot access the path specified. you may not have permissions to the folder".

Both scite editor and the exe are run in the same credentials (Admin)

Does anybody have any idea on this?

Using the full path for applications is always the safest route.

I tried everything on that mahcine. Its not an issue with the script or AutoIt. Its machine fault.

Raw script works well on that machine by presing F5. But when compiled, its not working. The same compiled exe works well on other machines

Any idea?

double check your compile options as well, especially making sure you are compiling it for your OS version (x86 / x64)

OK, so firstly download the latest version of AutoIt V3.3.8.1 (see the download section). Secondly, you've been provided an example by @Aipion, please use it. Thirdly, please make sure Notepad.exe is in the System32 folder.
