Open files

I am wondering how to allow the user to open a file. I used this code:

$var10=FileSelectFolder("Choose a Folder.")

But this only displays the folders, but when you click on them nothing happens, i want a seperate window that pops up with the selected folder.

I more mean something like when he/she clicks on the folder and clicks okay, a new window opens. Sorry, if i am wrong, its because i am a noob.

I missed the second part, sorry. The confusion came as you mentioned about opening files.
