_SingletonPID() - Enforce only one instance of the program running. Use AutoIt's hidden window.

Since _SingletonPID() returns the PID and not the handle of the window, we will need another function called _GetHwndFromPID(), which can be found in the Help File. I've included it in the example below:

Sorry for bumping a two-year-old thread, but I tried using this _SingletonPID()-function to activate the already existing window, but it doesn't work 'all the time'. It works when the current running process is in the background but not minimized. When the current running process is minimized, however, trying to restore it opens a new window with the name 'YourScript'. This is because - I think - I don't have the handle to the actual window AutoIT3 creates but rather to the hidden window...

The code I used at the beginning of my script:

Has anyone got an idea how to get the handle to the actual GUI-window so I can restore this one? I'm really at the end of my wits...
