I have a Function that returns a value,

but I wanted to enable to supply more Return Values(like a full array), when needed.

So for this reason I thought an Optional Array parameter, that will be ByRef, will do the job.

But as you wrote, and as I experimented, ByRef+Optional does not exist in AutoIt.

Too bad..

My workaround for this was this:

I added a bool parameter to the function, that tells if I want just 1 value returned, or a full array.

BTW, something totally different,

To whom can I give a small suggestion regarding SciTe?

Well..

In SciTe, when you work on many code files, you have Tabs for switching between them.

In Visual Studio, you have the "Solution Explorer" which is a TreeView, for switching between your open code files

(and to also open files that are not yet open!)

The TreeView system seems to be much more efficient, and more comfortable,

since it allows you to have more code files open, and yet easily switch between them.

The Tabs system is nice when you have upto 10, but above that, it starts to be a real pain.

(and creating a 2 line tab control, is also not very comfortable to use)

Is it possible to offer to have a TreeView on the left, that will enable to switch between code files?

This is not instead of the tabs, but in addition to them.

Why do you need to it to be optional?

Just pass it, if you don't need to change its values then don't.

The End.

The answer is very simple:

If when I use the function, I don't want the full array to be returned,

then having an Optional parameter, spares me from the need to create a Variable like then, which will then be passed to the function.

In simple words:

It means an extra line of code, every time the function is called.

Which is not comfortable.
