You don't need to put double brackets around functions e.g.

Script is corrected now, just place your script and file "pslist.exe" in the same folder.

Still just get an empty MsgBox, is that supposed to happen if cpu is 0?

I am only getting empty message, when my cpu is 100% overloaded, if it is under that value it should work, and I am using Windows 7 SP1 x64-bit. I assume that problem lies in starting the program in "high priority" or in "real time" mode. I written this script to detect when firefox usage drops below 10%. It's a work in progress...

The problem was this.

There was a licence agreement popup from pslist.exe which I could not see (@SW_HIDE).

So you might want to mention that in your OP, because you will get nothing until you

agree to the sysinternals licence.

EDIT:

Incidentally, I'm sure I've seen this done in pure autoit and calls to native windows dlls.

If that is the case than this is your problem:

And yes it was done in pure autoit, but the coding was too compicated to read. I hate to read miles and miles of code in order to do some simple thing...
