Obfuscator problem

!Obfuscator Error: A line exceeds max lenght of 4095. This needs to be changed to allow string encryption!

  

I'm using paramater

#Obfuscator_Parameters=/cs 0

Which means no string encryption

The line in question is array declaration declared as pseudo below...

Local $aArray[5000] = ["something"], _
                      ["something else"], _
                      ["and something else"], _
                      ["etc..."], _
                      ["but with more indices on each line"], _

Anyone know why?

Use #Obfuscator_Parameters=/cs=0

Also the terminating _ means treat the whole thing as one single line, but represent it to the user in a line-broken way for increased readability and understanding.

Use a For loop to incrementally assign your values.

This is a test I have in Obfuscator which combines all continuation lines and when that exceeds 4095, you get this error. This is only done when actually obfuscating the source. /SO or /StripOnly doesn't have this check.

Thinking about this I am not so sure any more why I did that.

Would it be safe to use an earlier version of obfuscator, alongside 3.3.8.1 Jos?

If so, what version would be suitable?

I ran into that exact problem when I was trying to create a very big string. The string was nowhere near the limits of autoit, however the fact I was using & _ to add it all in one go caused the issue. That is how I know that spanning things over multiple lines with _ still means that Autoit treats the whole thing as one line. Sure you may see mulple lines but the thing that matters is how autoit processes it.

I have removed that test in the current beta version of Obfuscator. Give it a try and see if that works for you.

Not sure where to find Obfuscator beta.

I've installed AutoIt v3.3.9.21 Beta, but there is no scite folder withing the beta directory, my search skills are lousy.

Only version I have is v1.0.30.4.

Looking at the date of that post, I imagine that "Beta" version of Obfuscator is the one in the latest release (14 Nov 13).

I think the version I got from that was 1.0.31.0

I am also running 1.0.31.0 from the latest release - and it is also the version shown for the Obfuscator zip file on the SciTE4Autoit3 download page.
