"Ent-Schuld-igen" has the meaning of "to free someone from blame" (at least according to my dictionary).

While compound linguistics tend to be easier to learn,  colloquial compound linguistics are a biatch.   Except for McDriveThru, I know what to do at the McDriveThru.
